About this product
This is a TaylorMade TP R7 Superquad driver with 8.5-degree loft, right-handed, stiff flex graphite shaft. It features a standard lie angle and is part of the Tour Preferred (TP) line. The Superquad name refers to the four weight ports on the sole, allowing adjustable swing weight and CG. This is an older but iconic model from TaylorMade.
Our take
The R7 Superquad TP is a classic. The four weight ports let me dial in the feel. I experimented with different weight configurations to reduce a slice. The 8.5-degree loft paired with stiff shaft keeps the ball flight penetrating. The TP designation adds a bit of status. However, the head is smaller compared to modern 460cc drivers, which might bother some. The price is fair for a piece of golf history. It's not as forgiving as newer models, but the adjustability is fun to tinker with.
